Completion of SMA Ujian Sekolah; and

ii) with passes in at least 7 subjects at SPM level; AND 3 subjects in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) in the same sitting, other than language subjects.
B. Students studying at university:
Applicants who have completed one year's study on a bachelor's degree programme at a recognized university.

New Zealand Bursary A; or New Zealand Bursary B (250 or above).
In and after 2004,
i) A minimum of 42 credits at level 3 or higher on the National Qualifications Framework, including a minimum of 14 credits at level 3 or higher in each of two subjects from an approved subject list, with a further 14 credits at level 3 or higher taken from no more than two additional domains on the National Qualifications Framework or approved subjects;
ii) A minimum of 14 credits at level 1 or higher in Mathematics on the National Qualifications Framework; and
iii) A minimum of 8 credits at level 2 or higher in English; 4 credits must be in Reading and 4 credits must be in Writing. The literacy credits will be selected from a schedule of approved achievement standards and unit standards.

Diploma, Professional Diploma or Technical Diploma awarded by one of the following institutions, provided that the period of study extends over not less than two years (full-time) or four years (part-time): Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic or Temasek Polytechnic.
C. Students studying at university:
Successful completion of one year's study on a bachelor's degree programme at a recognized university in Singapore.
