I was given an offer in the Main Round by another tertiary institution. Will HKBU consider me in the subsequent round(s) of offer if I decline that offer? |

HKBU is not able to consider you in the subsequent rounds of offer if you were given an offer in the Main Round / Clearing Round, no matter you accept that offer or not.
The offer you receive in the Main Round is your best possible offer. You are required to confirm your acceptance at the institution concerned. If you fail to confirm your acceptance of an offer, you are regarded as having declined your offer. In such an event, your record will be deleted from the JUPAS computer system and you will not be reconsidered for admission to any other study programmes offered under JUPAS in the same year. |

What should I do if I do not receive an offer in the JUPAS Main Round? |

If you do not receive an offer in the JUPAS Main Round, it is NOT necessary for you to submit anything or check with the University on vacancies. Our computer database contains all information we need to know about ALL applicants for admission purpose. You will be reconsidered for admission to any programmes still having vacancies. Offers will be made within the applicants' 25 choices in the Clearing Round and they can be made outside the applicants' 25 choices on the subsequent "Free-for -all" Round(s). Offers made in the Clearing and Free-for-all Rounds will be published via the web of JUPAS Office. Successful applicants are required to indicate acceptance via the web. Please note that only applicants who are not offered a place in the Main Round will be considered in the Clearing and Free-for-all Rounds. |

Should I accept the Main Round Offer while I am appeal against my HKALE results? |

You are advised to first accept the Main Round offer while you are waiting for the outcome of your HKALE appeal results.
If you have HKALE results revised in overall grade and wish to be reconsidered for an offer or a "better" offer, you should approach the JUPAS Office according to the schedule stipulated by the JUPAS Office and submit a request for reconsideration of your application, regardless of whether you have been made an offer in the Main Round or not. |
